Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026. Written to be actually readable.
The short version
- Photos you scan are sent to our server, analysed, and not stored after the answer is returned.
- Your scan history lives only in your browser (localStorage). Clearing it in Settings deletes it.
- We don't sell data and we don't use your documents to train AI models.
What we process, and where
Scanned images. When you scan a letter, the photo is sent over HTTPS to our server (Cloudflare Workers) and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the explanation. We do not keep the image or the result on our servers. Anthropic may retain API inputs for a limited period for abuse prevention under its privacy policy; API data is not used to train models.
Quota counter. To enforce the free tier we store an anonymous random device ID (generated in your browser) with a monthly scan count. It contains nothing about you.
Waitlist and contact. If you join the Pro waitlist or send a message, we store what you submit (e.g. your email) to respond and to notify you about the product.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (pages, scans completed, country). We don't send your documents or their contents to analytics. You can block analytics with any standard content blocker and the site still works.
Your choices
- Delete your history anytime: Settings → "Delete all history on this device".
- Ask us to delete your waitlist/contact entry: contact us.
