FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is my mail private?

Photos are sent to Kakete's server, analysed, and not stored after the answer is returned. They are not used to train AI models. Your history lives only in your browser, and you can delete it anytime in Settings.

Which languages are supported?

English, 中文(简体・繁體), Tiếng Việt, 한국어, नेपाली, Português, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, ไทย, မြန်မာ and やさしい日本語. The letter can be any Japanese document.

Can it spot scams?

Yes. Kakete flags the classic patterns — fake 税務署 letters, 未納料金 threats, gift-card demands, suspicious QR codes — and tells you when a real government office would never do what the letter asks.

Is this legal advice?

No. Kakete explains documents in plain language. For anything with legal or financial weight, confirm with the sender, your city office, or a professional.

Does it work on era dates like 令和8年?

Yes — era dates are converted to Western dates automatically, and instalment schedules (第1期〜第10期) are read so you always see the next real deadline.
